DMZ Part 1 - Imjingak(임진각) Park, Where the wild things are
1:00:00 AMOne weekend we decided to drive around and ended up at Imjingak Park. At first I wasn't aware of it, but later realized that this is also where the DMZ(Demilitarized Zone) is.
The park is a reminder for the families that were torn during the Korean war. It's a place where families can gather and enjoy their day camping out, watching performances and also pay their respect during important days like, Korean Thanksgiving.
This park is quite relaxing and a good place to have some time out with your family or friends and just enjoy the wide open space. Kite flying is quite popular and looks like a lot of fun. The park is also full of statues and items that remind you of the war.
Look out for my next post about the DMZ Part 2 - Imjingak Station, Freedom Bridge and the train that was a part of the war.
Until next time.
