Childrens day in Korea falls on May 5th every year. Today is a public holiday and it's day where the parents spend time with their kids and also give them some gifts.

My school celebrated childrens day at school with all sorts of fun activities for the kids. They didn't have any classes. Instead, they had sports and games in the classrooms.

The grade 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's had a sporting events. The grade 5's went hiking and the grade 6's played all sorts of fun games in class. I bet they would want a day like this every week.

Although the grade 1 kids can't speak much English, they are always keen to engage in some sort of communication. They almost always ask "What's your name?" or the would like to play a game or give you a high 5. Below you can see the grade 1's in the light blue shirts.

It was a fun day for me too. No classes to teach! But I could go around and take some picture of the fun happening around the school.
