This weekend I got the chance to experience my first ever movie set. It was the set of an Afrikaans movie called “Pretville”. “Pret” means “Fun” in English, so basically it’s “Funville”.

This Afrikaans musical is set back in the 1950s, in a generic Afrikaans dorp. In this small, bright and vibrant town of Pretville, anything is possible and lots of interesting things happen all the time. I really liked seeing all the little details that they added. It was very interesting to see that they could make a movie in a set this small. I’ve never seen a movie set, so I guess I expected something a little bigger. Still it was a lot of fun going around and feel like you’re living in the 50’s.

I went to Busan one weekend a while ago and wanted to share this beautiful place with you. It’s full of beautiful architecture, spaces and structures. I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone in and around South Korea.

Visit Shinsegae Department store (The biggest in the world) and get this scenic view from the top.

Inside you’ll be greeted with a beautiful Atrium as you explore the department store.

A Little way from to the department store you’ll find this park to have a nice walk. You’ll be greeted by nice Cherry Trees, which will look spectacular in April when they are in full bloom.

Further down you’ll find this beautiful riverside path where you can enjoy a nice jog or bike ride.

As a final piece I thought that I would give you a tease of the Gwangan Bridge. This bridge is spectacular at night it’s definitely worth staying over.

Busan is a very beautiful coastal city in South Korea. This city offer’s a lot of modern architecture as well as many cultural experiences. You’ll fall in love with this vibrant city as soon as you arrive.

I spent a few days in Seoul over the New Years festivities and one of the places I went to see was the beautiful Gyeongbok Palace.

Being in Korea I just had to see where one of Korea's most famous kings ruled. King Sejong still sits and keeps watch over from his mighty throne. While visiting the palace, the temperatures were –11 degrees Celsius,but the real feel was more like -18(according to the weather app). I literally ran through this beautiful place. It wish I could've listened a bit more to the interactive mp3 GPS enable guide, but it was just too cold. Here is a view of this beautiful palace during the winter time in Korea.
