Cape Town Adventures - The V&A Waterfront
1:00:00 AMMy first day in Cape Town, I decided to start at the most popular place. The V&A Waterfront. This is a beautiful area full of ships, yachts and other smaller boats. The smell of the ocean was overwhelming and took me back to when I was there the last time. I felt like a little boy again. The Waterfront hosts a lot of shops, restaurants and even hotels. With breathtaking views of the beautiful Table Mountain with the clouds hanging over it.
At the Waterfront you'll also find many opportunities to go for boat trips or a flight and even to visit the famous Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was a prisoner for many years. I booked my ticket for the next morning, as the day's tickets were already sold out.
This was the perfect way to start off my trip and to plan my next move, where I would visit and also where I would stay. I had made use of AirBnb and stayed at a lovely home for the first 2 days in Cape Town. I was in for a surprise the next morning though. I'll tell you all about it in my next post.
Until next time, here are some panoramic shots of the stunning Waterfront.
