Christmas time in South Korea
6:43:00 PMHere I am almost 10 months into my contract in South Korea and my first Christmas away from my family any friends. Christmas time for me is usually associated with friends, family, feasts, presents and most of all a very nice and well deserved vacation.
This year I had to make plans to make sure that I’m at least in good company and with good friends. For Christmas I will meet up with some friends to have a nice big meal together and spend our time enjoying good conversation.
Seeing as I don’t have much of my own stuff, I also didn’t buy any Christmas trees and decorations. Instead to get into the Christmas spirit I made a trip to Busan to get a sense of some Christmas cheer.
Before I show these wonderful light display, I want to say to everyone reading my blog : “MERRY CHRISTMAS, hope it’s a blessed day with your closest loved ones and that you truly experience the presence of our Lord!”
Although it was below zero temperatures, I was completely wowed by the extravagant light displays in the streets and the Christmas hits playing in every shop you walk in or past.
It was really a beautiful sight to see. People were flocking by the thousands to have a glimpse and walk underneath the curtains of lights.
Here are some of the beautiful Christmas lights in Nampodong area in Busan, South Korea.
This is my friend, who played the part of tour guide for the day in Busan.

Merry Christmas to everyone out there.
